This is one of my favorite poems--funny I rediscovered it last night while doing my round of freelance writing jobs! The poem wants me to scream to my hips--you go girl!

Homage to My Hips

these hips are big hips.
they need space to
move around in.
they don't fit into little
petty places. these hips
are free hips.
they don't like to be held back.
these hips have never been enslaved,
they go where they want to go
they do what they want to do.
these hips are mighty hips.
these hips are magic hips.
i have known them
to put a spell on a man and
spin him like a top

horton hears a who movie

We just watched the movie yesterday (by "we", i meant Ryan, Jas and I)--> and although a huge chunk of it was philosophical and in a way theological ("just because you can't see, hear, nor feel it, doesn't mean it's not real!")-- it was very entertaining and drizzles life lessons here and there.

We immediately fell in love with Katie-- the cute albeit freaky creature (we're not exactly sure what she is!)
